Rapid-fire Rumblers – Michael Mickey 10/8/2009

Luke 21:11: And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.

Are we seeing prophetic fulfillment in this area of late or what? In the last 6 days, October 2nd thru 8th (and the day isn’t over I might add), there have been 10 historic level quakes (magnitude 6.0 or greater), 7 of which have occurred within the last 24 hours according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

Upon reading these statistics, many of you will be taken back in memory to the recent quake that struck Samoa causing a tidal wave that wiped out entire villages and the quakes that struck Indonesia, killing well over 1,100 people. Demonstrative of how frequently these dramatic events foretold in bible prophecy have been occurring, would it surprise you to learn that neither the Samoan or Indonesian quakes are included in the numbers quoted in the previous paragraph? Believe it or not, they aren’t! Those quakes took place outside the USGS’s 7-day report window I used to document the quake activity above! Staggering to consider, isn’t it? But try telling most people in our world today, even Christians, that Christ’s return is so near the earth seems to be trembling in anticipation and see what kind of looks you’ll get, not to mention off-the-wall comments.

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, if there has ever been an hour when the Church needs to be sounding the alert that Jesus Christ is coming soon, that time is now!

Through events being documented in the news of our world today, the Lord is not only calling us to action, He’s giving some interesting information to share with a lost and dying world – information that is more than convincing that the times we’re living in are anything but ‘business as usual.’

The King is coming, Church! Who can we prayerfully share that message with today, even if it’s as subtle as dropping a friend or loved one an e-mail? Think on it. Pray on it. Act on it! We’re running out of time.
